How long have you been snowboarding? How and why did you start?
I started when I was 16 years old, I went some weekends to the Aragón resorts with my brother. I remember that the material we rented when we started was Step-In.
What has been your best moment as a professional rider?
My best moments as a rider could be the following 3:
In Chile when I was doing 6 years of double season at the “El Colorado” station, central Chile, knowing its Andean peaks.
Another moment was 2015 and 2016 in Whistler Blackcomb, Canada, being the coach of a Chilean freestyle and freeride club of 4 incredible riders in which we shared many moments in those months of training.
The third moment is now, with 36 years but with the spirit of the first day and with all the experience gained after so many years as an instructor, coach, trainer and rider.
How was your last season (2019/2020)? What would you highlight?
This season has been the season of the competition cancellations.
I had the first competition in the French Alps in December and it was discontinued. In addition, I was injured that weekend and it conditioned me for the season, so in January and February I had to cancel the competitions I had.
The first week of March, I returned to the competition doing a 3 * Freeride World Qualifier in Chandolin – Switzerland, being 11th.
Apart from the competitions, this season I was with a group that I trained for the Boardercross Cup of the Spanish circuit, obtaining a 2nd place in the women’s category with the rider Laia Gomariz (who rides with a board Help The Rise).
What plans do you have for the next season (2020/2021)?
My objectives for the next season is to continue compiting in the Freeride FWQ league and continue splitboarding the areas of La Cerdanya and surroundings.
